iCardz… Our History
iCardz is operated by Graphic Communications Group, a company that has been in the design and marketing industry for more than 25 years. iCardz were originally developed in response to requirements of a product that would educate middle and high school students about the history of Canada. Our first set was an 112-card collection on Canada’s involvement in the Second World War battle, D-Day. It included the complete story of the necessity of the campaign, the build up, information about the event, the landings, and the aftermath. It features cards on the Leaders, Special Equipment, Vehicles, soldiers’ first-hand accounts, Maps, and a special instant win card for a chance to win authentic Second World War Canadian memorabilia. Learning modules and a corresponding web site were also developed to thoroughly illustrate the entire story.
Following this was development of post-war cards for Veterans Affairs Canada as well as a set of Heritage cards for the Prince Edward Island provincial government that illustrated the various architectural styles of historic Island buildings. Other cards include Anne of Green Gables cards, Environment cards, kids 'Eco' cards, and Parks Canada cards.
iCardz can be developed to promote and educate for almost any purpose. Whether it’s educating the public, selling a service, presenting information, telling a story, paying tribute, presenting a new product, or any number of other ideas, iCardz are a unique and noticeable tool that garners attention and makes an impact.
